ABOUT MAARIFA NI UFUNGUO

 

Maarifa ni Ufunguo , meaning “Knowledge is the Key,” is a local non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming lives through education.

Founded in 1998, we work with communities, government, and partners to address inequalities and promote sustainable development through holistic educational programs.

Working to create accessible, affordable, and quality education for all children in Tanzania, leading to improved quality of life.

OUR PROGRAMS

Early Childhood Development

Since 2000 we work with communities and local government authorities to promote holist approach to child’s early years in breaking the cycle of poverty from generation to generation.

Girls Education and Women Empowerment

We believe in the saying that, educating a girl or a woman is educating the whole nation. In this view, we build capacity and advocate for quality education for all while put more emphasis on girls’ education in particular and women empowerment in general.

Life Skills

Rationale for Launching Our Youth Entrepreneurship and Life Skills Program. In today’s rapidly changing world, equipping young individuals with essential life skills and entrepreneurial knowledge is crucial for their personal and professional development.
